Michael Čulo studied church music, singing/vocal pedagogy and choral conducting in Rottenburg, Tübingen and Stuttgart. Numerous master classes complement his studies. He has won prizes at various competitions and has received numerous commissions for compositions. His music has been published by Carus and Strube.
He has worked at the cathedral singing school in Rottenburg/Neckar, the collegiate church in Stuttgart, the district cantorate in Nürtingen, the boys' choir collegium iuvenum Stuttgart and the cantorate at the Neustädter Hof- und Stadtkirche St. Johannis in Hanover.
Čulo has participated in radio, television, video and CD recordings. Concert tours have taken him to neighboring countries, Italy, Spain, Sweden, Norway, India, the USA and Argentina. He has worked with ensembles such as the Württemberg Chamber Orchestra Heilbronn, the Hannoversche Hofkapelle and the Sirius Quartet (New York) and has conducted world premieres at festivals such as the Festival Europäische Kirchenmusik Schwäbisch Gmünd and the Chelsea Music Festival New York.
Michael Čulo has been cathedral cantor at the High Cathedral Church in Hildesheim since September 2021.
